We started Pathkind Sensory because every child has their own path for learning. Our mission is to provide equipment and tools that support sensory regulation, helping enhance learning outcomes for every child

    No two children learn, focus or regulate in quite the same way. We believe education should work with that difference, giving every child a way in that actually fits them.

    Sensory regulation matters for all children, not just for SEN. Every child benefits from a moment to alert, organise and calm their senses. That benefit is often even greater for children with additional needs. We understand the difference sensory regulation can make for autistic children, and children with ADHD or sensory processing disorders - without ever treating our mats as a SEN-only product.

    The alert-organise-calm approach was developed by occupational therapist Jane Horwood and is now used across schools. It's rooted in sensory integration, a field of occupational
    therapy research going back over 50 years.
